Du som vill registrera din hund in den amerikanska föreningen AHTCA och är läsare av denna blogg har fått lite extra tid på dig eftersom postgången är så långsam. Har du tänkt att kanske låta din hund användas i avelssyfte (=JÄTTEBRA för rasen i Sverige) så kan du göra det nu och slippa registreringskostnaden! Alla hundar som ska användas i avel i Sverige bör registreras här i AKC av olika anledningar (blogginlägg kommer senare om detta). Men det är jätteviktigt att du lägger ditt brev på postlådan senast sista December! Postas det senare så får man betala den vanliga avgiften.
(Vi har gjort en särskild överenskommelse med Lynn Poston, som är ansvarig för detta på AHTCA.)
Efter den 1 januari 2012 AHTCA för AKC-FSS får du betala avgift, $ 15 per hund, (betalas till AHTCA). AHTCA kommer att bearbeta din anmälan så att din hund blir registrerad i AKC-FSS (och AHTCA kommer att hantera AKC avgifter).
Du kan även registrera dig direkt med AKC-FSS from 1/1-2012 men AKC tar ut avgift på $ 35 per hund.
Att registrera sig hos AHTCA är enkel. Det är bara gå på AHTCA hemsida http://ahtca.com
och klicka på "Registrera din hund med AHTCA" sen kommer du till ett PDF-formulär som du kan fylla i från din dator.
Sedan är det bara skriva ut blanketten, bifoga en kopia av UKC registrering (fram & insidan) till formuläret och skicka till adressen på blanketten. Se till att sätta tillräckligt med porto på kuvertet.
Observera också att om du registrerar din nuvarande hund eller valp, betyder det att föräldrar (mor-och farföräldrar, etc.) kommer att noteras men för att förälder, etc ska vara individuellt registrerade så måste även do fylla i en sån här blankett och skicka in (se ovan).

If you wish to register your dog in the American Association AHTCA and are readers of this blog, and live in Europe, you has got some extra time on you since the postal service is so slow. We have made a special arrangement with Lynn Poston, who is responsible for this in AHTCA. It's still not too late! But it's really important that you put your letter in the mailbox by the last December! Post it later so you must pay the regular fee.

This is from AHTCA/Lynn:
"Please Note: Effective January 1, 2012, you can still register your AHT with AHTCA for AKC-FSS but you must include a $15 per dog fee (payable to AHTCA). AHTCA will process your dog to AKC-FSS (and AHTCA will handle the AKC charges).
Or you can register directly with AKC-FSS, but AKC charges a $35 per dog fee.
To register with AHTCA is simple. Just go the AHTCA's website at http://ahtca.com
and click on the 'Register Your Dog with AHTCA' It will take you to a 'write-able' PDF form that you can complete on your computer. Then just print out the form, attach a copy of your UKC registration (front & inside) to the form and mail to the address on the form with the $15 per dog fee. And please be sure to put sufficient postage on your envelope.

Also, please note that if you register your current dog or puppy, it means the parents (grand-parents, etc.) will be recorded BUT that parent, etc. will not automatically be issued AKC-FSS registration. They also need to be individually registered to be eligible for AKC FSS registration.

I have talked to SKK, Swedish Kennelclub. They say that sooner or later it is best (for swedish AHT:owner who would like their AHT:s to be registrated in SKK) to register AHT:s in AKC because when day will come when the breed is fully registered in AKC and they are accepted in FCI and then SKK, then will SKK only accept the dogs who are registered in AKC.
SvaraRaderaThey say that you don´t need to do it now, when they are in AKC FSS, you don´t need to do it through AHTCA either. But it is for free until last december to post apply for registration so you can do that just to save money a-n-d probably, you who want to let your dog to be used in breeding, will have better opportunity to mate with others a little easier. Because the reality is that most of the european country have not UKC-clubs, so they all want to register their AHT in the national kennelclub.
Even if many thinks it is too early to have full registration to our breed now it will be time for many breeder to do outcrosses or mate with coateds. We have now opportunity to do the best of it.
